Photo inspection before it ships
Buying singles from Japan sight-unseen is risky. We open the parcel at our Japan warehouse and send you clear photos of the actual card — so you decide before it crosses the Pacific.
Why request a photo inspection
Condition is everything for trading cards. Seller photos are often a stock image, a single angle, or a glare-filled phone shot. A pre-ship inspection lets you catch issues while the card is still in Japan — when a return or cancellation is still cheap and easy.
Corners
Whitening, fraying or soft corners that downgrade a card are checked up close on every corner.
Edges
Edge wear, nicks and chipping along all four sides — easy to hide in a seller's thumbnail.
Surface
Scratches, print lines, dents, clouding and holo scuffing under angled light.
Centering
Front and back centering, the single biggest factor in a grade, shown so you can judge before you commit.
Especially recommended for graded, sealed, vintage or high-value cards where a small flaw means a big price difference.
How it works
1. Place your order
Buy the card as usual. You can add a photo-inspection request at checkout or from My Orders after the item is secured.
2. Arrives at our Japan warehouse
The seller ships to us inside Japan. We receive and log the parcel before anything leaves the country.
3. We photograph it
Our team shoots the front and back plus close-ups of the corners, edges, surface and centering under good lighting.
4. You review in My Orders
The photos appear under your order. Take your time to inspect the real card, not a stock image.
5. Confirm or request a return
Happy with it? Confirm and we ship it on. Not as described? Request a return or cancellation while it's still in Japan.
What you'll receive
A typical inspection set — actual photos of your own card. These are illustrative placeholders, not your card.

Pricing
Photo inspection is charged per order or parcel, not per card — so consolidating multiple cards keeps it economical.

One flat inspection fee covers the order, however many cards it contains.
Large lots may carry a small per-card add-on for extra close-ups.
Slabs and sealed product are documented without breaking the seal.
All figures are estimates to help you plan. Your exact inspection fee is always shown before you pay — see the fees page for the full breakdown. See full fee schedule
